Concrete Care & Maintenance

A Basic Concrete Pour Includes:

• 6.5 Bag
• 6.0 Air
• 5.0 Slump
• 4″ Depth
• Fiber Mesh Reinforcement

Curing Time = 28 to 30 Days

This means you cannot park your automobile on the concrete for 28 to 30 days without risking damage to your concrete. You may, however, drive over the concrete after 7 to 14 days. Walking on your concrete is safe after approximately 24 hours. Allow a week before allowing light equipment such as lawn mowers and bicycles.

Finishing Types

We recommend a broom finish with saw cuts to provide a stronger surface

Cracking and Flaking

• Cracking is a result of the Earth’s natural tendency to settle and shift (as when it freezes and then thaws).
• Flaking is caused from manually applying salt or when salt from your automobile drips onto your concrete. It is recommended to power-wash and apply a penetrating sealer sometime after 30 days.
